Civita d’Antino, giugno 2023 – Palazzo Ferrante, un prezioso gioiello del patrimonio artistico italiano, risalente al XVII secolo, si appresta ad accogliere una mostra d’Arte unica nel suo genere che celebra la connessione tra l’Abruzzo e la Scandinavia. “Mellom fjellene og himmelen/Tra le Montagne e il Cielo” è il titolo di questa straordinaria esposizione, che sarà inaugurata il 1º luglio e si protrarrà per tutta l’estate 2023.

“Et sted mellom fjellene og himmelen” è come lo stesso pittore danese Kristian Zahrtmann descrisse la pittoresca cittadina di Civita d’Antino, situata nella provincia dell’Aquila. Cento anni dopo, questa affascinante connessione tra l’Abruzzo e la Scandinavia viene ripristinata grazie alla collaborazione tra l’associazione culturale Palazzo Ferrante e lo spazio espositivo gestito dagli artisti della galleria d’Arte Hulias, con sede ad Oslo, con il supporto di KUNSTHØGSKOLEN I OSLO/OSLO NATIONAL ACADEMY OF THE ARTS.

Le cantine dell’antico palazzo, ricche di storia e fascino, sono state trasformate in uno spazio progettuale dedicato agli artisti scandinavi e italiani. Qui, dodici giovani talenti norvegesi, provenienti da Oslo, Amsterdam e Vishovgrad, presenteranno le loro opere, offrendo un assaggio vivido della vibrante scena artistica contemporanea norvegese. La mostra sarà caratterizzata da una varietà di mezzi, tecniche e materiali, creando un’esperienza artistica ricca e coinvolgente.

L’apertura ufficiale di “Mellom fjellene og himmelen/Tra le Montagne e il Cielo” segna un momento di rinascita per Civita d’Antino, che si prepara a diventare nuovamente una destinazione ambita per giovani artisti, studenti e appassionati di arte. Civita d’Antino, June 2023 – Palazzo Ferrante, a valuable piece of Italian artistic heritage dating back to the 17th century, is preparing to host a special art exhibition that celebrates the connection between Abruzzo and Scandinavia. The exhibition titled “Mellom fjellene og himmelen / Tra le montagne e il cielo» will be inaugurated on July 1st and will be on display throughout the summer of 2023.

“Et sted mellom fjellene og himmelen” (A place between the mountains and the sky) is how the Danish painter Kristian Zahrtmann (1843-1917) beautifully described the charming town of Civita d’Antino, located in the province of L’Aquila. A hundred years later, the collaboration between the cultural association Palazzo Ferrante and the exhibition space managed by the artists of Hulias, based in Oslo, has rekindled the connection between Abruzzo and Scandinavia, with the support of Oslo National Academy of the Arts, this partnership has been made possible.

The historic palace’s cellars have been transformed into a dedicated exhibition space for Scandinavian and Italian artists. Interestingly, the cellar bears architectural similarities to Hulias in Oslo.

Within this distinctive setting, twelve young Norwegian artists based in Oslo, Amsterdam, and Vishovgrad will showcase their works, providing a glimpse into the contemporary Norwegian art scene. The exhibition will feature a diverse range of mediums, techniques, and materials, offering a rich and immersive artistic experience.
